Dolg opis
You hold in your hands PLASTIC ISLAND the tenth book in the collection HOLEY MOLEY CASTLE written by Uroš Hrovat, among the most popular illustrators of children’s literature in Slovenia and now an author as well.
The search for PLASTIC ISLAND is an incredible ENVIRONMENTAL adventure, and the island is not make-believe because we really do throw an enormous amount of trash into the sea. Today the easiest thing to catch on your fishing hook is a smelly PLASTIC BOTTLE and these can only be eaten by the ENORMOUS SHARP-TOOTHED FISH. But at least this fish was made by MOTHER NATURE while its sworn enemy, the CASTAWAY HAIRY BARRY, only knows how to exploit NATURE and would trade it in a heartbeat for a PILE OF GOLD.
Uroš is an extremely productive artist and collaborator. He creates exceptionally contoured caricatured drawings, figures that stand out and are full of joy toward life. He enjoys writing and illustrating suspenseful stories with fantastic content. He has no affection for butterflies and flowers, preferring the strange creatures and funny monsters that hide among them.
